LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre

LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre

The LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre at FCIC houses cancer researchers intent on finding solutions for the disease.

Working side by side and collaborating with the medical professionals and clinical trials teams that also work within the building, a major focus of the research is focussed on beating cancer before it takes hold as well as improving survivorship care.

Our researchers are exploring the many different facets of improving cancer outcomes, these projects range from identifying cancer fighting foods (nutraceuticals), improving sensitive and cost effective screening tests to detect pre-cancer states to understanding the ongoing health and emotional needs of cancer survivors, and many more.

This partnership has put the FCIC on the world-stage, opening the door to future collaborations with leading international institutions and LIVESTRONG programs.
